Barbara embarked on her career as a primary school teacher, graduating in 1975 from Christchurch Teacher’s College and then entered the Christchurch banking sector becoming a fully qualified financial adviser in 1999, graduating with a Personal Financial Planning Post Graduate Diploma from Waikato University. Barbara specialises in giving advice on investments and KiwiSaver. She is a proud Cantabrian and “Runner-Up 2013 PAA Investment Adviser of the Year”.

Barbara prides herself on a fantastic memory and attention to detail. She accurately remembers detail like all her clients’ phone numbers and diary notes.  Barbara values honesty, integrity, reliability and has a genuine concern for others. Her friendliness in assisting clients who have very little financial knowledge to learn about investing outside property and banking investments is real and she relishes when clients put her recommendations into practice, she has no age or investment limits.

Barbara is great at solving problems and her strength lies in her ability to put clients at ease when markets change by giving them alternative options to create and allow a continuation of income or growth of funds. Often complimented on her explanations in plain English of what investments mean and how they will work. Barbara wants clients to know that she will listen to their concerns and assist them in making good financial decisions.
